Open University UK Scholarships for International Students

The Open University is a public research university and the largest university in the UK for undergraduate education. Also, the majority of the OU’s undergraduate students are based in the United Kingdom and principally study off-campus; many of its courses can also be studied anywhere in the world.

The OU provides around 5% of its formal course materials as free open educational content every year on OpenLearn.  Furthermore, the majority of learners visiting OpenLearn do so to study a free course. All OpenLearn courses: Provide a free, downloadable Open University Statement of participation available on completion.

Scholarship Description:

Scholarship Benefits:

The Studentships program cover tuition fees, a generous research training support grant. Additionally, a stipend (circa £15,544 per annum) for 36 months to the successful applicants.

Eligibility Criteria:

All applicants are required to fulfill all the criteria given below:

  • Applicants for the PhD program should have minimum qualifications of an upper second class honors degree 2:1 (or an equivalent). Also, as usually a specialist master’s in a subject relevant to the intended study with a strong research element.
